Résumé

In contemporary clinical medicine and biomedical engineering, large-scale clinical trials and systematic reviews establish standard care protocols, yet individual case reports remain the primary mechanism for detecting novel disease manifestations, unexpected therapeutic outcomes, and early-stage technological innovations at the bedside. This Editorial introduces the Medical Technologies Journal (MTJ) Special Issue dedicated exclusively to Innovative Case Reports & Clinical Vignettes. Derived from the keynote framework "The Epistemological and Pedagogical Value of Case Reports in Clinical Literature: Why and How to Publish," this issue addresses the critical need for structured, peer-reviewed documentation of single-patient observations. The scope encompasses technology-assisted diagnostics, rare pathologies, real-world evaluations of artificial intelligence decision-support tools, biomedical engineering applications, and unexpected clinical complications. To ensure high editorial standards, peer-review integrity, and broad database visibility, this Special Issue bridges bedside clinical observations with scholarly publication to accelerate the adoption of technology-driven patient care.
